When you become a World Options franchisee, you will be invited to the World Options Support
Centre for four days of in-depth training. Don’t worry if you don’t have any previous carrier
industry experience – everyone starts at the same level.

Volumetric weights and parcel sizes
Setting business goals
Information on the courier and logistics sector. Information on World Options carrier partners and the services World Options offers
How to find customer prospects, having the right mindset for sales, the sales process, and what questions to ask
Understanding courier invoices and financial money management
As well as how the World Options shipping portal works
How The Franchise Training Works
What Does The Training Involve?
The training involves showing you how to find and manage your business customers, helping you understand the carrier industry and teaching you our online systems.
You will then be appointed a dedicated mentor from our franchise development team, who will visit you several times throughout the year to guide and assist you.
You will also be invited to regular training updates and World Options conferences throughout the year to help you become an even better franchise business owner.
How Many Days Does The Training Last?
Four days. Every day has a different focus allowing franchisees to fully immerse themselves into every aspect of running a courier delivery franchise.
Where Is The Training Held?
Initial classroom training is held at World Options Head offices in Clayton-Le-Moors, Lancashire. However, if franchisees feel more comfortable receiving the training from home, World Options franchise owners and sales mentors, Cameron Wilkey and Matthew Mansfield can provide training via video call.
Who Conducts The Training?
World Options franchise owners and sales mentors, Cameron Wilkey and Matthew Mansfield. As of 2025, Cameron and Matthew have been franchise owners for eleven years. Their knowledge, experience and honest approach make them capable and professional trainers.
How Is The Training Delivered?
The face-to-face training at the World Options head offices allows franchisees to interact with the trainer and other franchisees in a safe and judgemental-free environment.
It also allows franchisees to meet different World Options departments, ask questions, and dive right into the nitty-gritty of being a franchisee. The training doesn’t only prepare franchisees to build a franchise. It allows networking opportunities and insights.
How Difficult Is The Training? Is The Training Hard To Understand?
The training is easy to understand and supported by plenty of examples, videos and images. Asking questions is more than welcome and with an informative training manual, franchisees will be ready to dive right into running their franchise.
Does Someone Need Previous Experience In The Logistics Industry?
No. The training was designed to be accessible to everybody, regardless of their experience.
Can Someone Refer Back To The Training Once It’s Been Completed?
Yes. Franchisees can find all the documents from their training, and any other important files, in the World Options cloud-based training depository, known as the operations manual. The operations manual is regularly updated with the latest industry and business changes.
An example of this is a courier changing their services or prices. Additionally, franchisees have access to the training portal that allows referring back to the initial training whenever needed.
Is Mentoring And Help Provided Once The Training Has Been Completed?
Yes. After the initial training franchisees are not left on their own. Most pressing questions regarding the running of a franchise will come from franchise owners in the first few months of them owning a franchise.
That’s why for the first twelve months, franchisees are paired with a sales mentor that helps with sales strategies and queries.
Even after these twelve months, the World Options customer service team is able to provide further assistance in helping franchisees to solve any issues with couriers or customers. Whenever support is needed, someone from World Options head offices will be ready to help.

You will be supported by our Customer Service team, who have years of industry expertise to assist you and your customers as often as necessary.
We have a fully centralised billing system, so there is no need to worry about invoicing your customers and collecting payments. Our experienced Accounts Department take care of that for you, so you can focus on providing World Options products and services and building relationships with your customers.
